September Product Update

Here's everything Plural shipped in September.

📊Workbench Observability: Dashboards, monitors, and job tracing

Workbench dashboards. Agents can now build and maintain dashboards directly inside a workbench, with timeseries, stat, table, bar, pie, heatmap, log, and trace panels.
Monitoring tab. A new Monitoring tab puts a workbench’s dashboards and monitors in one place, with filters, full-screen panels, and a view of the query behind each chart.
External dashboards. Agents can pull in the dashboards your team already has in Datadog, Dynatrace, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk, and Sentry instead of starting from scratch.
Monitors and dashboards as code. New Monitor and Dashboard custom resources let you define both declaratively and manage them through GitOps.
Job tracing. Workbench job activity now includes a trace view with a topology graph, so you can see how services connect in the traces an agent pulled, right next to its metrics and logs.

First-class PR reviews. Coding agents can run in a dedicated review mode, posting a review with an overall confidence grade and up to three P0–P3 prioritized comments on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps.
Self-service agent. A new subagent searches Plural’s service catalog, inspects the available PR automations, and invokes them, so a workbench can provision infrastructure through your existing GitOps flows.
Workbench tools over MCP. Coding agents can now be configured to call a workbench’s read-only tools, metrics, logs, traces, ticketing, and more, through MCP, with credentials kept out of the agent’s environment.
Kanban view for issues. Workbench issues can be viewed as a Kanban board grouped by status.

Repository prebake. Point an AgentRuntime at an OCI image with your repositories pre-cloned, and agent runs copy them in locally instead of cloning from scratch.
Image prewarming. Repository images can be pulled onto nodes on a cron schedule before runs are scheduled, and a new ImageWarmer resource does the same for any image.
Mise bootstrap. Runtimes accept an inline mise.toml that installs toolchains before the agent starts - or, for prebuilt images that already include them, a read-only root filesystem option.
