🚀 What’s New in Plural

🔄 Flows—Your Microservice Command Center

A Flow is a logical container that groups related microservices and their entire development pipeline. Think of it as mission control for a service—or a collection of services—running on Kubernetes.

With Flows, you can:

  • Monitor connected services in real time, with health and performance metrics surfaced inline.
  • View deployment pipelines and watch versions move from dev to prod.
  • Track pull requests to see exactly which code changes map to which deployments.
  • Handle alerts from PagerDuty, Grafana, Prometheus, etc., directly in context.
  • Talk to Flow Chat, an AI assistant that can pull logs, configs, and PR diffs on demand.
  • Spin up preview environments on every PR; Plural automatically clones secrets and databases so you can test safely in isolation.
  • Run operational tasks via MCP servers with full audit logging and optional click-to-approve gating.

Smart permission boundaries at the Flow level mean access (and AI context) never bleeds across teams. And automated troubleshooting ties everything together: when an alert fires, Plural cross-references logs, recent PRs, and commit SHAs, then suggests a targeted fix, cutting MTTR dramatically.

📋 Kubernetes Security Made Simple with Compliance Reports

Plural now ships Compliance Reports, delivering a fleet-wide snapshot of your Kubernetes security posture.

  • Fleet-wide visibility into scanners, agents, ingress controllers, and more.
  • Comprehensive CVE tracking with severity and “days open” metrics.
  • One-click export: navigate to Security → Compliance Reports, click Create Report, then download a ZIP containing cluster, service, and vulnerability CSVs. Each file is hashed with SHA-256 for tamper evidence.
  • Audit-ready for FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, and PCI DSS.

🌐 Mesh-Agnostic Network Observability with eBPF

Deploy our eBPF agent once and visualize every connection in your cluster—pod-to-pod, namespace-to-namespace—without depending on Istio, Linkerd, or any specific service mesh. Interactive graphs surface bandwidth, packet counts, and latency, helping you chase down bottlenecks or suspicious traffic instantly.

⚡ Smart API Version Management

Plural continually scans your clusters’ CustomResourceDefinitions, compares them to our compatibility tables, and flags any deprecated API versions before you upgrade Kubernetes or operators like Istio. Stop surprises during major version bumps and plan migrations on your schedule.

🏢 Company Highlights

  • We’re sponsoring KCD New York 2025. Catch us on June 4, 2025 at Convene, 1 Liberty St., Manhattan. After a sold-out 2024, this edition expects over 400 cloud-native pros, and Plural is back as a Diamond sponsor.
  • NYC Kubernetes Meetup. Thanks to everyone who joined our security and RBAC best practices session earlier this month. Great questions, great community—see you at the next one!
